About me

Caroline Watson

Registered Psychologist

My professional areas of interest include working with depression, anxiety, stress, performance anxiety, grief/bereavement, self-harm behaviours, body focused repetitive behaviours, adjustment, sexuality and relationships.

I have a particular interest in working with adolescents and young adults. I am a warm, compassionate and expressive clinician, and believe it is important to genuinely connect with clients, particularly when working with young people.

I am aware that starting therapy can be daunting, so I encourage you to take things at your pace. I strive to ensure that you feel comfortable and supported as you work towards your therapeutic goals.

Therapeutic approach

I draw from different treatment modalities depending on the individual client and referral reason. These may include Cognitive BehaviouralTherapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Perinatal Non-Directive Counselling, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Habit Reversal Training (HRT), and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).

Availability and fees

I work Monday from 12pm to 2pm. The cost of a 50 minute consultation is $171 for individual therapy ($81.35 after the Medicare rebate). I also work with the NDIS to support clients, and for clients funded by this organisation there is no out-of-pocket cost.

Clinical supervision

Supervision is not available from me.
